CEPEP security service vs vagrants
THE EDITOR: In El Socorro, a certain contractor uses CEPEP employees as security so as to prevent poor people assembled to collect charity every Friday Jumma at the Nur-E-Islam Mosque, from sheltering from the rain or hot sun on his open premises. These employees not dressed in their usual CEPEP uniforms (to avoid suspicion) are most rude and threatening should a beggar even walk on the pavement in front of this property. CEPEP contractors have designated government areas to keep clean, and the government pays their employees’ salaries. C ROOP San Juan
Are these workers only to do government’s work for this pay? Who foots the workers’ salaries when the private work of the contractor is done? Who in SWMCOL verifies for whom or where these government paid employees are working on a given day before handing out the pay? Everyone has the right of enjoyment of property, but why should government pay the bill? Also what happened to the "We Care Government?" Mr Manning, please have them stop using my tax dollars to abuse poor helpless people.
