Where were the police?

THE EDITOR: Where were the police when the rival gangs of Morvant assembled at a basketball court in another pathetic, hypocritical performance of “kiss and make up” last Sunday? We have all witnessed these spurious truces before and everyone knows that they hardly last a few hours and then it is back to the killing fields.

After all, they are controlled by the drug mafia and their voracious greed for money. The police missed a golden opportunity and this shows beyond a doubt they are not serious about combating crime. The public deserves to know, where were the police? Where was the blimp? Where was SAUTT and all the other units with their fancy names?
