Comical Republic of TT

THE EDITOR: Trinidad has been transformed under the PNM into a "comical banana republic." Here are a few jokes the PNM is playing on the Opposition — (1) Integrity Commission — the word "integrity" should be taken out and change into "iniquity" Commission. (2) Anti-Kidnapping Unit — since this unit was formed, kidnappings have risen out of control. The name should be changed to Allowing Kidnappings Unit. (3) National Housing Association — this is the PNM’s biggest house padding programme.

This department should be renamed Nation House-padding Association. (4) SAUTT — Special Anti-Crime Unit of Trinidad and Tobago, in their 2005 budget allocations SAUTT was given a whopping $68 million. To date, all kinds of crimes have increased with murders topping the list. SAUTT should be renamed Special Agents Unified Talkers. The list of PNM jokes continue and one can expect no change under the Patrick Manning administration. He campaigned on good governance but he should have been true to himself and campaigned on "comical governance". Congratulations to the PNM on its 50 years. Cheers!!
