‘DOH SO LIKE SO,

THE EDITOR: A notice in your newspaper by the Inland Revenue Division, reminded the public of certain offences that may constitute tax crimes including failure of employers to deduct, withhold, remit or pay taxes to the B.I.R.

I wonder if this Tax Investigation Unit could begin by investigating the failure by the B.I.R to remit and not withhold refunds of taxes due to the public within a certain time frame say three months. Failure to do so without cause should of course attract interest at the going rate — six percent.
