The Power hungry animal
THE EDITOR: As a young supporter of the UNC, I have had to deal with a lot of verbal attacks and abuse by my peers. What maintained my support was my personal belief that the UNC as a Government would do the right thing for Trinidad and Tobago and take us to heights we have never seen. When Winston Dookeran became leader, I was ever more encouraged and inspired to continue standing firm in my support. To look around and see men like Winston Dookeran, Wade Mark, Jack Warner, Sadiq Baksh and Mr Montano made me secure in my belief that the party would become the next Government. That was short-lived with the wrangling since the internal election and then the new threat of unleashing of a power hungry animal. Now, hearing of the dismissal of Robin Montano has left me completely jaded and discouraged. If Panday really cared about the UNC support base as he used to say, then he should explain how he could treat people like me who really believed he was fighting for us, rather than against us.
