‘Awesome Twosome’ for Mother’s Day concert

The event carded for May 13 at 8 pm at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya is entitled “Awesome Twosome” and will see the two artistes at their best.

“Awesome Twosome” is the 16th annual Mother’s Day Concert sponsored by Newsday, Lion Baking Powder and Ibis Flour manufactured by NFM, Hi Lo Food Stores, KFC, NLCB, Guardian General, and Dairy Dairy Milk.

Promoter of the event Rafi Mohammed described Bheem as a “ladies man,” endowed with a mellifluous voice that never fails to captivate his huge audience.

He said that Bheem is one of the most versatile singers with the ability to sing all types of songs from heart wrenching melodies to up-tempo bhangara type, modern filmy and the ever popular oldie goldies from the Bollywood Film Industry.

Salickram accompanied by the CLICO Shiv Shakti Dancers never fail to mesmerise and captivate audiences with his costumes, stage production, dancing skills and creativity that today makes him the most sought after choreographer. Mohammed said that the venue, Centre of Excellence offers more space and an opportunity to significantly improve the production aspect of the event.

For the first time too, there will be a full Orchestra compiled by Bheem and includes ace saxophonist Lutchman Bissoon who will also render some golden classics.

Bheem’s mum Premattee Bheem will join her celebrated son on stage in a true demonstration of a son’s love for his mother. The ‘poosungie girl’ Arti Butkoon will head a cast of upcoming and rising female singing stars.
