Resistance for ‘Meet the Presidents’

The series continues tomorrow at NALIS, National Library, Port-of-Spain. Senator Jennifer “Amaleta” Kernahan, an early secretary of the Writers Union will also attend and speak on the featured guest.

WUTT said it is pleased to honour Resistance and thanks him for his contribution to the 30-year-old organisation, to the cultural landscape and to all the various communities he serves.

A graduate of UWI and the pioneer of rapso, Resistance is also the president of COTT, general secretary to TUCO and active member of the collective Network Riddum Band. He survived the recent People’s Mall fire and has emerged as the owner/director of Drumline Uprising on the Indepen-dence Square. He remains active and supportive as a member of WUTT’s Advisory Committee although he travels extensively to UK, USA, Africa and in the Caribbean. His most recent tour took his group to performances across California. His CDs and DVD are available internationally and locally. Members and invitees should be seated ahead of time as the programme will begin by honouring another WUTT stalwart, Dr Ken Parmasad who died recently.
