‘Warriors’ trucks for Central

The two vehicles are a flat tray truck from Neal and Massy Automotive Ltd ($270,662) and a tractor from Tracmac ($140,081).

The vehicles have been dedicated to the Soca Warriors football team which qualified for the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.

The corporation’s CEO, Pamela Doon, said the truck would be used to transport equipment for developmental projects, while the tractor is to be dispatched to cut the grass on 136 playgrounds.

The number of playgrounds under the corporation’s management increased after the closure of Caroni (1975) Ltd, which used to upkeep recreational facilities in neighbouring communities.

Doon said the corporation plans to purchase more vehicles soon.
