Being born again

Arthur, a born-again Christian, had to create an organisation for believers.

“All born-again believers are to know of it and become part of it,” said Arthur, who is also a bishop. So he heeded God’s call and with other leaders created the Worldwide Born Again Believers.

Since then, Arthur’s flock, so to speak, has grown. He said several churches have joined the organisation which includes members from Texas, Philadelphia, Brooklyn and New York.

On March 4, Arthur held a mass baptism near the Police Post in Carenage.

Its success led him to have another one on April 8. “More than 30 people were baptised and many others were rewashed,” said Arthur.

The bishop, who said he has been asked to go to Texas to preach in three churches, plans to have more baptisms in the future. The organisation will soon host a worldwide conference, the date of which is still to be decided.
