Fake guard robs Mario’s Pizzeria

The suspect ran west along Independence Square and then boarded a “PH” car at the Chaguanas taxi-stand in Port-of-Spain.

Reports revealed that the man was spotted by officers of the North-Eastern Task Force who gave chase after the PH car which was intercepted at City Gate and the suspect held by Cpl Alexander and PCs Reyes, Chin King and McMillan.

The money was recovered and police also seized a pistol. The man was handed over to officers of the Port-of-Spain CID who placed him on several ID parades yesterday, relative to other robberies in the city. He is expected to be charged soon.
