Fields on Saturday will be very small as most owners and trainers set their sights on the May 6 card which will include the Gleneagle Stakes or Fillies Guineas over 1800 metres.

In most races there will be seven or eight horses, with the biggest a 12-horse field, the seventh race of the day over 1600 metres on the turf course. Meanwhile, three Barbadian apprentice will be showcasing their riding skills on the day’s ten-race programme Christopher Husbands and Jonathan Grant will renew acquaintances with turfites on Saturday. But the local turfites will get a chance to see the race-riding skills of 16-year-old Rocco Bowen. This three kilo claiming rider will be here for the first time. He goes to scale at 51 kilos.
