Call to stop Goldsborough bridge

I am strongly recommending that you stop or cancel the contract for the bridge that is supposed to be built across the Goldsborough river in Goldsborough, Tobago.

I would like to inform you that, over one year now the contractors have started to construct a temporary bridge to facilitate the building of the new bridge.

It has been alleged that the temporary bridge has cost to date over five million dollars and is not yet complete.

This project gives rise to a number of questions. Is Tobago still regarded as the backward part of the unitary state of Trinidad and Tobago. To organise a project of this sort for us in Tobago? I do believe that the person who designed and proposed this project never saw the place where this bridge should be built.

If they did, they would have never designed something like this.

Let the THA be responsible for monitoring these projects even before construction, they must get the blessing of the people of Tobago, before any project of this sort is to be constructed.
