The 15th edition of the event is scheduled for tomorrow at Sevilla Golf Course in Couva.
CariFin (Caribbean Financial Institutions) Cross Country Family Day is about fun, fitness and friendship according to the promoters.
The main emphasis is about the promotion of a healthier lifestyle and it encourages friendly rivalry and closer relationship within the Financial Services Sector.
Participants and spectators could expect a fun filled day with lots of excitement and action. The day’s activities are divided in three main parts.
The adult novelty events always hold the sway of attention in the first half of the day.
This year on offer is The Best Novelties Trophy for the institution that amasses the most points in the novelty events.
The rush of adrenaline and the tingling of excitement would be felt as institutions try to out do each other.
Participants are also asked to try their skills at traditional novelty events including sack races, banana races, tug-o-war, beer drinking, and balloon for so etc.
The children are not left out. The CariFin Kool Kids Park caters some very exciting things for them.
Pony rides has been a favourite for the last two years and are here again.

But there is even more — Bouncy Castle, Kid’s Novelty races, Fancy Balloons, Face Painting and “Fruta Kool Kids” Games.
These events would be preceded by the official opening at 10 am where all teams are required to line-up in front their tents while the National Anthems of Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago are played.
