PowerGen aim for fitting end
The season concludes with final round matches today and tomorrow, starting at 9.30 am each day.
PowerGen have destroyed virtually all their opposition this season, with the exception of FCB Clarke Road, who gained first innings points during the fourth-round clash.
With national senior and junior team left-arm spinners, Dave “Tadpole” Mohammed and Rishi Bachan, as well as the ever-improving Jason Mohammed, Gibran Mohammed and Sherwin Ganga among their ranks, the Penal-based team will be keen on ending the season unbeaten.
The Parkites, led by national fast bowler Mervyn Dillon and including player/coach Vasbert Drakes, Justin Guillen, Kieron Pollard, Ryan Austin and Sunil Narine, will not be going down with a fight against the runaway leaders.
In other matches today, second-placed CLICO Preysal will meet third-placed Alescon Comet at Pierre Road, Charlieville; Ceramic Merry Boys host fellow mid-table outfit Clarke Road at the Diego Martin Recreation Ground while the cellar-placed squads W Connection Wanderers and Joe Public Munroe Road will face off at Munroe Road, Cunupia.
