His audience needed no encouragement to sample cubes of meat, to help themselves to a Styrofoam plate and napkin, pick up a cube or two of meat speared on toothpicks, add a drop or two of the sauce of their choice ... and wonder whether they dare help themselves to more.
One taste was enough to tempt them to put at least one pack of the variety of cuts on display of that excellent, melt-in-the-mouth Scotch Angus chilled (no, NOT frozen) meat in their trolleys. Besides the usual striploin, filet, club, tenderloin, sirloin, porterhouse, and T-Bone there were (and are) skewered, ready-to-grill shish kebabs complete with vegetables.
Or, for the younger set still mourning the departure of McDonald’s, there was (and is) minced Angus beef to make burgers fit for a king. Or, for lovers of Italian food, the very best minced beef to make the very best sauce for Spaghetti Bolognaise.
What more could one ask for that special occasion, birthday, anniversary, cooked at home on the barbecue or grill, with salad, baked potatoes — and a glass of good, red wine — than a steak of Certified chilled Angus beef?
