Panday: No word from Dookeran

After his first night out on bail, Panday said he was feeling fine. With his appeal likely to be heard in October, he was asked if he will take it easy or resume active involvement in politics.

Panday said he is taking the weekend to think about his position and will be addressing a UNC rally tomorrow.

He declined comment on last Friday’s events in Parliament which saw the resignation of Chief Whip Ganga Singh and the shift of Dookeran to the back benches.

Panday said: “I want to think out my position before I speak to the public. I have to be clear about what I want to do.”
