Cop shot by Bandits
According to reports, the cop, whose name has been withheld, was carrying a licensed police service firearm and went into the store to purchase goods, when the shop was held up by bandits.
The bandits opened fire and the cop was shot.
The policeman had raised his hand to ward off incoming fire and was shot twice in the left arm.
The cop will undergo surgery this week to repair torn ligaments and broken bones.
The firearm is now in the possession of the Arima police.
PC Katwaroo of the Arima Police Station is continuing the investigation.
