For their triumph, Exchange earned 18 points to extend their tally to 104, while Balmain, who held the first innings lead, got six points.
Nixon Poliah struck 48 runs and Raja Ramoutar, 40, as Balmain were dismissed for 220, with Hansraj Persad claiming seven wickets for 39 runs.
In their response, Exchange were restricted to 205 with Bahadur notching 48 and Fareed Hosein, 38. Poliah and Ramoutar were in the thick of things for the hosts, as Poliah captured five for 44 and Ramoutar, three for 49.
With a first innings lead of 15, Balmain were skittled out for 91 in their second turn at the crease, with Bahadur on the rampage with six wickets for 23. Bobby Sookoo offered lone resistance with the bat, scoring 25.
Needing 107 to earn a come-from-behind victory, Exchange reached 109 for two with Persad setting the early pace with 46, while Bahadur was unbeaten on 26 and Hosein, 19.
