Post mortem of C’wealth Games at Chaconia Inn

The whole day session was chaired by TTOC president Larry Romany. The 11 sports bodies represented at the 18th Commonwealth Games recently held in Melbourne, Australia was represented along with the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs.

The objective according to TTOC officials was to review all aspects of this country’s participation.

The BHP Billiton sponsored and Adidas outfitted TT Commonwealth Games team earned three medals in Melbourne. “As we look ahead to the 2010 New Delhi Commonwealth Games we have to learn from 2006. I want a candid and honest evaluation at what went right and what went wrong.With CAC, PAN AM and Beijing Games upcoming improvement is an imperative,” “said the TTOC president.

Romany stressed that the process is intended to be constructive and solution oriented and not a gripe or blame game.

“It is about the ongoing quest for excellence,” he said.
