Begone with spite and hate

The recent rumblings within the UNC have demonstrated, that the politics of spite and hate is pretty much alive in the party. The very man who once preached national unity is today dividing his own party.

The treatment handed out to Mr Winston Dookeran is both unwarranted and unjust. If they can treat their own like that, how can we entrust that group with power? They have clearly put the UNC back in opposition politics.

Mr Dookeran did not force himself on the UNC. He was asked to take up the mantle of leadership so much so that he was returned unopposed as political leader.

He is the one man who can change the image of the UNC.

With some of its members on corruption charges, the UNC needs to clean up its act.

The faces of that power hungry clique, which we are presently seeing are a constant reminder of the old image. There’s no way such a crowd can win an election. What the country needs is love. It has worked before and it can work again.

Remember, when the NAR embarked on a “one love” campaign, how successful it was.

They totally vanquished the PNM. Love is the answer friends, not spite and hate.
