Comic book give away

Children are invited to come in at ten am and get their favourite comic books. GCU has been keeping up this tradition of book distribution for the past four years.

According to chairman Hafeez Amin, Genesis is thrilled to celebrate the fifth annual event. “In addition to the social work that we have been doing for the past 20 years, the free book give-away is an effort to show appreciation to fans and help new ones gain an interest in the world of comics,” he said.

Genesis is a non-governmental organisation that has been working towards improving literacy with YTEPP and NALIS. The organisation has been working with children in the paediatric wards at the various hospitals in their quest to educate and entertain the children there.

There will be free snacks and drinks for children under 11 years.

Children showing their library cards will qualify for entries into a special draw for several video-games and DVD titles based on their favourite characters.
