Calypso tribute to Nap Hepburn
Nap Hepburn who died at the age of 79 in the United States will be remembered at a special concert at the Moonlighting Pub on the Eastern Main Road, Tunapuna, tomorrow.
A host of well-known calypsonians will sing in remembrance of Nap, and proceeds of the show will go to Nap’s wife.
Conqueror a favourite calypsonian who is back in Trinidad for good, after living in the United States for more than 30 years is carded to perform. Conqueror who is the main organiser behind the show was a good friend of Nap.
Other artistes who will perform in memory of Nap include, reigning calypso monarch, Luta, Brother Valentino, Superblue, Cro Cro, Brigo, Singing Francine, Singing Sandra, Skatie, Ninja, Stinger, Sweet Jean, as well as Twiggy.
Popular pannists Ken Professor and Earl Brooks will also perform.
Admission fee to the show which begins at 7 pm, is $20.
Tickets are available at Moonlighting Pub, Crosby’s in St James and Good Times Pub on Henry Street, Port-of-Spain.
