Sobie grabs 14 wickets for Victoria

Victoria batted first and scored 233 all out as Sobie grabbed nine for 37 to rout Untouchables for 99.

Batting a second time Victoria declared at 251 for eight with former Test player Rajindra Dhanraj getting 58.

Set a victory target of 385 runs, Untouchables again failed in their second attempt getting only 114. Sobie was again the star of the show with five for 12.

Meanwhile, on Sunday the sixth round got going and Sobie turned batsman stroking an even 50 to take his team to 350 for seven declared against Tableland.

In reply Tableland closed the day on 101/4. This match continues tomorrow.

Today the final of the Midweek series between St Mary’s Superstars and Victoria will be played at the Petrotrin Ground in Barrackpore.
