Body found near Crown Point

The body was subsequently identified as Royston Agard, 32. Agard, according to police, was reported missing. The body bore no marks of violence.

The Homicide Bureau in Tobago is continuing the investigations although sources said they do not suspect foul play. Agard was originally from Trinidad.

Meanwhile, a police officer was reportedly shot at by a man of East Indian descent, dressed in black at Sangster’s Hill in Scarborough.

According to reports, the man approached the officer at 1 pm yesterday and shot at him before running off.

The officer, who was not injured, immediately alerted his colleagues and a joint Army/Police search was mounted with all entrance and exit points in the area being cordoned off.

The suspect was subsequently held by the officers.

He has since been charged and is expected to appear before a Scarborough magistrate today.
