Diego youths to stand trial for murder

Colin “Mouse” Skinner and Abby Johnson, of Quarry Street, Diego Martin, were before Chief Magistrate Sherman Mc Nicolls in the Port-of-Spain Eighth Magistrates’ Court charged with the murder of Colin George at Quarry Street on November 23, 2005.

The final three prosecution witnesses testified yesterday. They were the sisters of the dead man — Patricia George, Yvette Griffith — both TT Post employees, and Simone George, a casino cashier. At the close of the prosecution’s case, defence attorney Ian Brooks indicated he had no submission to make.

Mc Nicolls said he was satisfied that a prima facie case had been made out against the two accused and he ordered that they stand trial at the Assizes for murder.

State attorney Aden Stroude prosecuted.
