No branch of the news media has reported that Mr Panday had submitted a resignation letter to the proper authority in the United National Congress. The statement Miss Mikela Panday read at a UNC public meeting was not a resignation letter.

This being so, all the talk of not accepting Mr Panday’s resignation, of going to the members of the UNC to obtain their views is pure political theatre directed by Mr Panday to achieve his own ends.
