Autopsy confirms boy hanged self

Cooper, who was a Form Two student of the Princes Town Junior Secondary School, hanged himself with a piece of antenna wire at his Church Street, Sixth Company Village home.

Cooper, the fifth of eight children, was helping his mother wash clothes outside the family’s small wooden house when he went missing.

The incident happened downstairs of the family’s home. A police report stated that Cooper used a piece of wood to stand on after wrapping the antenna around his neck.

Police investigations revealed that Cooper, who it is suspected, merely wanted to pull a prank on his mother, Wendy, lost his balance and slipped.
