‘I smoke ganja for bullet in head’
Mensaa pleaded guilty to the charge yesterday. In a plea of mitigation, attorney Leon Gokool said his client was shot in the head and chest.
According to Gokool, the bullet is still lodged in Mensaa’s head. Surgery is expected to be done on May 18 to remove the bullet.
Gokool said his client suffered immensely in prison. He said Mensaa, a tradesman, took the marijuana to ease the pain of the bullet to the head. But Lee Kim pointed out that this was Mensaa’s fourth conviction. He also has a previous conviction for marijuana.
She then fined Mensaa $5,000 or nine months. The accused was given until June 30 to pay the money. “This is the most expensive pain killer he has taken,” the magistrate added.or bullet in head’
