TUCO posts up for grabs

Elections take place on Saturday but because of the Benny Hinn Crusade scheduled this weekend at Queen’s Park Savannah, a venue for the elections is still to be decided.

Contesting the vice-president post are Eric Taylor (Panther) and Mark John (Contender), while Franz Lambkin (Delamo) and Lutalo Masimba (Bro Resistance) will battle for the position of general secretary.

The public relations officer post will be contested by Errol Ballantyne (Bally) and Robert Elias (Mighty Trini) and the educational and research officer by Carlton Collins (Manchild) and Dianne Hendrickson-Jones (Lady Wonder).

The positions of assistant general secretary, treasurer and assistant treasurer have been unopposed and therefore will be held by Wayne Mc Donald (Kassman), Denis Cox (Lasana) and Ainsley Mayers (El Drago) respectively. Monifa Khalabi (Abbi Blackman), whose name appears for the positions of assistant public relations officer and welfare officer has been informed of the General Council’s ruling that no candidate shall contest more than one position, but to date there has been no response from her indicating her preferred position.

However other contestants for the post of assistant public relations officer are Doril Hector (Versatile) and Steve Pascall (Ras Kommanda), and competing for the position of welfare officer, will be Carlston Kerr (Calypso Kerr) and Hamidullah Wahid (Hamidullah).
