Abel blows cold
out on the top award for the Hemisphere (outside of North America) as well, having been
narrowly surpassed by a Carrier distributor in Panama.
This performance marks a very auspicious beginning for ABEL after it took over the operations
of Burmac air conditioning in February 2005, leading to the creation of ABEL Air Conditioning. In spite of the issues surrounding the transition, this divison was able to rise to the challenge surpassing its sales quota for the year and registering the best year’s sales performance by any Carrier distributor in the Caribbean.
Aside from offering a full range of residential air conditioning equipment under the world renowned Carrier brand, ABEL Air Conditioning sold commercial air conditioning systems
to a number of mid- to large-sized projects in Trinidad and Tobago, including the new
ANSA Finance & Merchant Bank Building on Maraval Road, West Mall, Guardian Holdings
Regional Branch Offices in Chaguanas, and TSTT Main Complex on Henry Street. Just
recently the company was awarded its largest contract ever for the supply and installation
of equipment to the future RBTT Head Office Building on St Clair Avenue, Port of Spain.
