Meeting to discuss school reopening

This meeting will be held at the Port-of-Spain and Environs Education District Office which is situated at 50A Jerningham Avenue in Port-of-Spain.

The Ministry has urged parents and guardians to attend the meeting as it is being held to discuss issues surrounding the reopening of the school. The school was closed since Monday when the body of security guard Claymont Brown was discovered in a guard booth on the compound with a gunshot wound to the head. It is believed he was robbed of his car, strangled and then shot.

Students and teachers who turned up for classes on Monday morning were moved to tears when they viewed Brown’s body in the guard booth.

Counselling sessions for both staff and students are being conducted on a continuous basis.
