Saada Singh case continues

Gray is representing Jonathan Moonsammy, 24, of Pleasantville who is one of four persons charged with kidnapping Singh from Giselle’s Montessori School in Vistabella on June 3, 2004. Joseph was cross-examined for over an hour in the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court. The ex-cop first gave evidence before deputy Chief Magistrate Mark Wellington on Thursday May 11.

Charged together with Moonsammy are former school teacher Kimberly Moonsammy, 22, of Jarvis Street, San Fernando; Colleen Osbourne, 22, of Pleasantville and Keston Franklyn, 26, of Vessigny Village, La Brea.

A total of eighteen witnesses have given evidence in the inquiry. Singh was abducted from the school at Archibald Street in Vistabella. She was found walking along Pluck Road in Siparia three days later. State attorney, Chris Saelochan is prosecuting in the inquiry. The case was adjourned to July 27.
