Xtreme Dance Studios registration now on

Formerly located at Independence Square, Port-of-Spain, the school has now secured fully equipped facilities at Cascade Studios, corner of Foncette and Cascade Road, Cascade.

This studio is the brainchild of two enterprising persons, Candice Wallace and Hamid Rahman, who saw a need to teach youths the proper techniques of modern hip-hop dancing.

It was originally established in 1998 and focused mainly on children and teenagers, but according to Candice, “There are a lot of young adults interested in learning to dance and we have no restrictions in terms of age or ability.”

A former Secretary of the National Dance Association, Candice has choreographed for H2O Phlo, while Rahman is a member of the dance group Eclectik, which placed 3rd at the Annual World Hip-Hop Dancing Championships in Los Angeles, USA earlier this year.

The two have also danced on stage with Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin, Rupee, Destra, Maximus Dan and were part of the opening dance acts for international stars, Usher, MC Hammer, TLC and Ashanti.

Members of the school also have the opportunity to participate in live performances, professional dance videos, nationally and internationally, and television and media exposure.

Right now, there is just one class scheduled, on Saturdays from 12 noon to 2 pm.
