Connection look to close in on leaders

That double-header will be contested at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella. Connection, who mauled United Petrotrin 5-0 on Tuesday, are two points adrift of leaders CLICO San Juan Jabloteh (who are inactive this weekend).

A win against the third-placed Caledonia could see Connection claim the number one spot, midway into the season. Caledonia, who have earned only one point in their last two games, will try to regain lost points with a victory over the Connection outfit.

That game kicks off at 6 pm, while, two hours earlier, the last two placed teams, Ma Pau and Tobago United will oppose each other. Also at 4 pm, but, this time at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Tunapuna, North East Stars and Defence Force, two clubs on the lower half of the table, will square off.

One game is on the schedule for Monday, with St Ann’s Rangers facing Petrotrin from 5 pm at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima.
