Rootsman tries reggae
Taking inspiration from Jamaican Roots Rock Reggae musicians Burning Spear and Gregory Isaacs, Rootsman said his songs are message oriented and are geared towards upliftment and relationships.
“Jah Love” is a thanksgiving song, while “Wild Goose Chase” is a wake up call for people who have fallen though the cracks of life.
I feel very good about the two songs because the melodies are good and the lyrics are inspiring.
I know the songs are something new, but reggae is something I had always liked and has always wanted to try. I believe that people will enjoy them,” Rootsman said.
The songs were composed by Rootsman and have already been launched on various radio stations.
It was recorded at Corrosive Studios in Point Fortin. Rootsman said music videos are soon to be released.
