Tobago Cycling Classic a success
The event was held from September 30-October 4 and attracted cyclists from throughout the world including Germany, Great Britain, USA, Canada, Colombia and the Caribbean.
The annual race was won by Team Barcode rider Peter Williams of Great Britain while Colombian Lisbon Quintero was the overall runner-up and German Timo Scholz finished third.
The race was contested by 100 cyclists from 17 countries competing in two divisions.
There were many exciting non-cycling events at the cycling village at Johnston Apartments as well as boat tours to the Buccoo Reef, Nylon Pool and picnics at No Man’s Land which enhanced a wonderful event for all participants.
Organisers have described the Cycling Classic as one of the most entertaining and keenly contested in its 23-year history.
