PNM out UNC business

Rambachan, a deputy political leader candidate on Siparia MP Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s slate, told a public meeting in Siparia on Tuesday that the PNM planned to help UNC leader Basdeo Panday’s patriot slate by placing CEPEP workers’ names on the UNC’s voters lists.

“How is the PNM involved in the internal election of the UNC? We have no control over any of those organisations,” Enill said yesterday.

He explained that a CEPEP organisation is one that works for contracts. “So why say CEPEP? Why didn’t he (Rambachan) say the Ministry of Finance or the Ministry of National Security?” he asked.

“They’re on a frolic of their own. It has nothing to do with us,” Enill said.
