UWI Professor launches book and film series

This launch, hosted by The UWI Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS) and the Faculty of Social Sciences, will feature speeches by Professor Clement Sankat, University Pro Vice Chancellor and St Augustine Campus Principal; Professor Rhoda Reddock, Deputy Principal; Professor Bridget Brereton, Professor of History; and Dr Hamid Ghany, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Ms Carla Foderingham, CEO of TTFilm Co will bring greetings from the Film Company.

Professor Bridget Brereton will present the book, and Professor Mohammed will screen one of the films from the series.

Professor Mohammed, Professor of Gender and Cultural Studies and Campus Co-ordinator, School for Graduate Studies and Research, will be available to sign copies of her book and film series, both of which will be on sale that night.

Imaging the Caribbean will be on sale for $270, and A Different Imagination, a series of five films, will cost $150.

This event is free of charge and open to all.
