Videos of murder circulating on the Internet

The videos, which do not contain audio of the incident, show the confrontation with Maharaj and three men who entered his vehicle. It shows that as Maharaj attempted to take the keys from the car he was shot by one of the men.

He fell to the ground clutching his chest, and subsequently died. When contacted by Newsday, police officials confirmed that they were aware of the video and had already analysed its contents.

It was revealed the video had assisted in the ongoing investigations.

Corporal Ragbir of the Cunupia Police Station is investigating the matter.

Maharaj, 25, of Alligator Trace, Munroe Road, Cunupia, was killed on June 22, last, after they robbed him of his car, a white Nissan Wingroad.
