Woman with Alzheimer’s goes missing
Brereton-Hamilton spent the past 40 years abroad and has lived in Canada and the United States (US). She is a retired professor of nursing in Canada and retired director of education in Florida in the US. Brereton-Hamilton, who suffers with Alzheimer’s disease, returned to Trinidad last December and has been living at Mahabir Street, Palmiste.
She went missing last Friday and her family filed a report at the San Fernando Police Station. Brereton-Hamilton was last seen at about 6 pm on Friday at the PTSC bus terminus, King’s Wharf, San Fernando wearing a brown and green sleeveless top, blue jeans and blue and white shoes. It is uncertain whether or not she boarded a bus.
She is a mother of four and grandmother of one, all of whom live abroad.
Speaking from Florida yesterday, her daughter Nicole Hamilton said, “We are very distraught by the news that she has gone missing. Anyone who sees her, please contact the nearest police station or take her to a hospital.”
