Cops find home-made shotgun, ganja and cocaine

Forty persons were arrested on various offences, including possession of narcotics, firearms and ammunition, robberies and outstanding warrants.

Police said the exercise was spearheaded by Snr Supt Ramsey and co-ordinated by Supt Celestine Phillip, Insp Wayne Lawrence and included members of the Chaguanas CID, Task Force, canine Unit and TT Regiment.

Police said several searches were executed at several houses in the Longdenville, Enterprise and Montrose areas. One of the places searched, police said, was behind a church in Montrose.
