Putitia crowned Women’s Prison monarch

Wearing an orange, Indian-inspired dress, as she set foot on stage and began her rendition, Apache immediately got the crowd’s approval and she continued making her audience laugh throughout her performance. It was a calypso that could easily find favour at any one of the calypso tents.

Kerry Ann Hosang, placed second with “Time,” and Ayanna “ Lil Feisty” Sharpe placed third, with her rendition of “Wining Motion?”

Other contestants included Quisianna “Sophisticated lady” Graham, singing “National Plea;” Sherry Ann Laloo singing “Going for Hard Wine;” Alicia Pinder (“Sister Pinder”) who had the crowd dancing to her “Soca Bachannnal;” Rasha “Sexy Diva” Sobrian (“Coco”); Denika “Nikki D” Alfred (“Ah Coming”)” Natasha “Lady Angel” De Leon “Mash It Up;” Katryna “Hurricane Katryne” Browne, (“Doh Look Back:); Paulette “Sister P” Simpson (“Freddy”), Kelly Ann ‘Foxy’ Shortte, (“Bubble”); Angela “Angie” Ramdeen (“Curry”); and Dymoedsha ‘DIDI” Matodja, singing “Rock Me”.
