‘Victory Games’ for charity June 17

At Victory Games, teams from various corporate enterprises participate in specially designed novelty events for the prize of $25,000 for the local charity the team randomly selected at the games’ launch. Each participating team is required to maintain a relationship with the charity with which it was paired for the duration of one year.

The Victory Games 2012 was launched on May 10 at Triniscene.com’s office in St James, where representatives of the 12 teams randomly selected charities, team names and concepts, and colours. This year’s theme is “Rockstars.”

Reigning champions YUMA will seek to defend their title from 11 other teams, including previous winners Tribe and Island People.

FoVF is the brainchild of Triniscene.com’s Managing Director, Casey Cumberbatch. It advocates for young persons and corporate communities to give of their time and energy to the benefit of those in less fortunate circumstances. FoVF’s vision is to build and sustain a diverse platform which empowers young persons through volunteerism. Young persons are encouraged to register as Victory Volunteers who lend their time, skills and services to other charities in TT, as those need. Lunch/entry tickets are available from participating teams, Triniscene.com’s office and committee members. Additional details can be found on FoVF’s facebook page or on www.triniscene.com.
