La Romaine destroy Sando CSM 148-56

It was La Romaine’s second triple-figure score in as many games and the highest score in the league so far as they look one of the strong contenders for the lucrative first prize. Forward Derick Boxhill proved difficult to contain for San Fernando CSM with the national star draining a game-high 45 points to lead the Jetstars. Joseph was also in unstoppable form with 41 points and 12 rebounds in a good all-round performance.

From the first quarter, La Romaine began moving the ball across the court with purpose to take the early lead 33-16 at the break. The contest was virtually over at the half with Jetstars extending the advantage to 60–29. The victory was made a formality as Jetstars got contributions from several sources including Kyle Sargeant (17 pts), Lester Edwards (16 pts) and Delroy Agard (10 pts, nine rbeounds). CSM’s Clint Phillips fought a lone battle early to keep his team in contention, but did not get much help from his teammates as Jetstars dominated the boards reminiscent of their 103-84 win against Marabella United recently. Phillips finished with 20 points and four rebounds while Kevin Sedeno had 12 points and three rebounds in vain.
