Pixie murder trial on today
The State is expected to call Inspector Michael Wells who laid the charge against Paul Vincent for the 2005 murder of Radha “Pixie” Lakhan.
The 16-year-old girl went missing on March 22 last, after she left school and was walking towards her home in Spring Trace, La Village, Siparia. Her skeletal remains were discovered in bushes on April 22.
Vincent, 34, of La Brea Trace, is also facing the judge and a jury of 12 members for the murder of Taramatie Toolsie, 40 of La Brea Trace, Siparia. The woman, who was a janitor at the Penal Government Primary School, went missing on April 15 last, and her partially decomposed body was discovered on April 18 off La Brea Trace.
When the trial resumes, Acting Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions, Tricia Hudlin-Cooper will call Wells to give his evidence on behalf of the prosecution. On Wednesday, the State called Vincent’s common-law wife, Leslie Ann Bowen, to give evidence on behalf of the prosecution.
