Appoint the EMA board now

Fishermen and Friends of the Sea (FFOS) thinks it outrageous that five months after our new Government came into power, the Environmental Management Authority (EMA) is still without a board, and therefore unable to act upon or even assess the extent to which quarrying is impacting the sources of our drinking water supply.

Given the anticipated long dry season ahead, FFOS appeals to the leaders of our Government to consider regulating quarries in the areas outlined by the Water Resources Agency. It is urgent that the EMA board be appointed. Please allow them to fulfil their mandate.
