2 security officers on 13 sex charges

Keston Pollard, 25, and Eddyson Gonzales, 38, both of Mansoor Gardens, Marshall Trace, Cunupia, appeared in the 4A Court on a total of 13 charges.

Pollard was charged with one count of receiving a child for the purposes of exploitation, seven counts of sexual penetration, and one count of common assault.

Gonzales was charged with three counts of sexual penetration and one count of common assault. Both men were also jointly charged with sexual penetration.

Both Gonzales and Pollard were denied bail, and the matter was adjourned to July 15, pending background tracings on the two accused.

Woman Police Corporal Nicole Andrews is the complainant in the matter. The men were detained on Tuesday by officers of the Central Division, Counter Trafficking Unit and the Inter Agency Task Force, with assistance from officials of the Children’s Authority.

The teenager allegedly came to the country to accept a job offer on May 15 and was taken to a house in Cunupia.

On May 29, the 17-year-old left the job site in San Fernando and made her way to the nearest police station where she made a report. She was taken for a medical examination and officials from the Children’s Authority were contacted
