Rain spoils first day of final Test

West Indies, who decided to bat after winning the toss, got to 62 for two batting first when play was called off at 2 pm. Leon Johnson was the first batsman out as he was caught for nine by Rohit Sharma, at forward short leg, off the bowling of Ishant Sharma with the score on 31. Darren Bravo’s stay at the crease was brief as he was bowled by off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin for 10 to leave West Indies on 48/2.

Kraigg Brathwaite played some shots and closed the day on an unbeaten 32 off 78 balls with five fours. Marlon Samuels is the other not out batsman on four. Play will start at 9.30 am today.

India hold an unassailable 2-0 lead in the four-match series.
