Lee will have his work cut out as he lined up to face second ranked Soren Opti (Suriname) while Cuban-born Guzman locked horns with Bajan Monyata Riviera in both semi-finals.

In their respective quarter-final bouts on Friday night, Lee got past Kenneth Anglin (Jamaica) 21-18, 21-15 and Guzman remained on course for another regional crown by defeating second seed Katherine Wynter 21-9, 21-6.

However, Men’s Singles top seed and Trinidad and Tobago representative, Nicholas Bonkowsky was upset by the unranked Jamaican Samuel O’Brien Rickets 21-19, 21-14 and thus did not advance to last night’s semi-final round.
