According to a police report, at about 2.30 pm on Monday, Mitra Sahadeosingh, and Brandon Basdeo, both of Gopee Trace Penal and Rikki Sahadeosingh of Ridgewood Gardens, Penal, went into a forested area at Scotts Road, Penal to cut soharee leaves. The bones were later removed to the Forensic Science Centre, St James.
